SUMMARY:2nd Annual Sock Drive
DESCRIPTION:The Oakland Rotary Satellite Club\, operating in partnership with the Oakland Rotary\, will kick off its 2nd Annual Sock Drive on February 15th. Drop off new children's socks\, underwear and newborn items at the following locations through March 25th: any Elementary School in Garrett County\, the Health Department\, any branch of First United Bank\, Ace's Run restaurant\, The American Legion and Jazzercise in Oakland. The donations will go to Garrett County elementary school children in need during the cold winter months.\n\nThe Satellite club supports service projects in the community while also helping with the Rotary Christmas Project and of course french fry trailer sales. The next membership meeting is open to anyone and will be held on Wednesday\, March 16th at 6:30pm Mountain State Brewery. If your organization has a need for volunteers\, and you think the Satellite club could help\, please contact Haley Gillespie\, Rotary Satellite President\, at hvgillespie@gmail.com.
