SUMMARY:Acrylic Painting for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Continuing Education and Workforce Development of Garrett College is offering Acrylic Painting for Beginners. The class will explore the materials\, tools and techniques used in acrylic painting. Topics include: the painting process\, experimenting with color\, design and the fundamentals of paint application. Students will have time to finish several different paintings within the class schedule. Materials and supplies are included\, but participants are encouraged to bring a smock or old shirt to protect clothing from paint stains. This class is instructed by Sharon Elsey\, a self-taught artist\, who dabbles in creative art styles\, landscape\, and adventure type paintings. Her artwork is on display at various locations throughout the county. She also participates in the summer artist studio tours. Class will not be held on June 14 or 16.
