DESCRIPTION:In this Flowers and Cake Design course\, participants will explore more sophisticated ways and advanced skills in order to bring cakes and desserts to life. Participants will create breathtaking cornelli lace\, brush embroidery\, blossom flower\, royal icing appliques\, rosebuds\, half rose\, Wilton rose\, leaves and stems\, violet leaf\, pansy\, violet\, lily\, poinsettias\, basket weave\, rope border\, reverse shell border\, and classic ruffle. He or she will discover the secrets of arranging them in a beautifully balanced cake top bouquet\, including how to arrange flowers to be framed by an impressive border treatment or basket weave design. Skills learned in this class will allow participants the ability to make flowers in advance using gum paste and fondant or royal icing\, ready to place on any cake. The instructor will also discuss assessing the market and managing one's own business (or an employers') effectively. The course is being instructed by Wilton instructor\, Bonnie Goebel. A supply list is available upon registration.
