DESCRIPTION:Edna Bender\, local artist and instructor\, will teach a course in advanced portrait painting for Garrett College at the Grantsville Senior Center. The classes are slated for Mondays\, beginning June 1\, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and will continue for a total of five consecutive sessions. Bender designed this course to help participants enhance painting techniques and use of oil colors specific to producing portraits. Students will use photos of friends or relatives as subjects of their paintings. A materials list will be provided upon registration. In order to register for this course\, students must have taken a prior portrait painting course with Bender.
