DESCRIPTION:Mountain Lake Park Mayor and Town Council will be hosting the Maryland Department of Transportation and State Highway Administration representatives who will be sharing the most recent information on the proposed Oakland Bypass\, or Ninth Street Extended (truck route). The public meeting will provide Mountain Lake Park elected officials and citizens an opportunity to gather information and ask questions of the state agencies who are responsible for executing the project.\n\n\n\nLast Fall\, the proposed bypass was elevated to a number-one priority which has raised questions with area residents wanting to understand why. The SHA has also stated they are looking for ways to reduce the 2006 estimated cost of $53 million for the project.\n\n\n\nDo you have questions about the Oakland Bypass?
