This fun wildflower pilgrammage takes place along the Kendall Trail in the Youghiogheny Wild and Scenic River Corridor. This walk will be fun for all ages and the pace is mellow. Mom will especially enjoy getting out in nature for a stroll and look at the spring flowers. If you like photography you will have plenty of scenic subjects to capture, from river scenes, to flowers, to lichens, mosses etc.
You don't need any experience and we will have fun looking for the fleeting ephemeral flowers. We will of course also be looking for birds, frogs and specifically warblers on spring migration and water birds like green herons and mergansers etc. Afterwards we will enjoy some baked goods and a refreshement back at our headquarters along the river.
