Eye for Art Gallery & Studio proudly presents: In her first solo show, a collection of stunning digital photographs by Baltimore, MD, artist Kirsten McCracken Hamlin. Her work centers around high detail imagery from her backyard, various gardens, and her travels.
Kirsten first became excited about photography as a young child. She started with a hot pink Barbie camera. At the age of 15 she learned how to develop her own film and print in the darkroom which led her to fall even more in love with the medium. She went on to study fine art photography at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C. Kirsten has experience working in a variety of different formats, such as medium and large format. She also has experimented with different printing techniques, such as Polaroid emulsion lifts and photographic encaustic paintings. "Our Garden and Beyond" is Kirsten's first show featuring all digital photography.
Kirsten resides in Baltimore, MD with her husband Billy and her son Liam. There she also offers children portraiture.
