December 8th Tree Lighting “A Great Small Town Christmas”: Join the Town of Oakland and Garrett Regional Medical Center for an evening of holiday family fun! The tree lighting begins at 6pm at the community tree at the B&O Museum. Come out and join us for free sleigh rides, carols, store specials and a special treat from Santa at Cornish Cafe from 6:30pm-8:30pm! Performances by Steve Smith, Lynda Savopoulos Rachel Warnick and a special reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas by Chuck Nolan.
