This performance by Alyssa will be her third visit to Smoke N Mirrors Gallery, this time as a Soloist. Alyssa will be performing "The Versatile Flute" - The flute is the earliest musical instrument on record, with the oldest flute being approximately 42,000 years old. Originally made from bone and wood, flute music has been a part of the human experience for cultures all around the world before the advent of civilization. This concert will take the listener on a journey through time, exploring flute music and flute literature from ancient traditions through modern practice, exploring the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern Eras, and more!
