Expert Cross Country Ski lessons for beginner to advanced are offered at Herrington Manor State Park. Lesson's are $20 (plus tax) for a 60-90 minute group lesson. Lessons are offered at 10am and 12 noon (other times may be available for groups or private lessons). Rentals add'l and are $15 for the day. Learn the basics including getting up from a fall, proper poling and equipment usage, the diagonal stride, maximizing your glide, double poling, herringbone uphill, side step turn, hypothermia awareness, and be introduced to downhill techniques like the snowplow, stem turn, and 'third ski'.
