Smoke N Mirrors is pleased to once again host Mr. Dan Baker, outstanding guitarist and performer for an evening of, well, whatever you and Dan decide it should be! Dan is an eclectic Guitarist with unique instrumental arrangements of songs ranging from a John Coltrane to John Lennon.
Dan is based in Southwestern Pennsylvania. He is a native of Washington PA and began playing the guitar as a teenager. During High School Dan performed his first paid gig at the age of 15, as well as performing at the Capital Theater in Wheeling WV, the Mellon Jazz Festival in Pittsburgh PA and toured France and England. After High School Dan attended and earned a BFA in Jazz Performance from the New School University in New York City. During his time in New York City Dan had the privilege to study and perform with many great musicians in the New York and New Jersey area and performed at the JVC Jazz Festival and at many clubs, restaurants, and special events. Following Graduation from the New School Dan attended Graduate School at New York University and continued performing around the New York City area. Dan returned to his native Washington PA in 2001. Since this time Dan has performed regularly at clubs, restaurants, festivals, weddings, private parties and special events in the tristate area.
This is a seated concert style performance and reservations are recommended as seats are limited. Tickets include two drink vouchers per person for anyone over the age of 21 (wines, craft beer, sodas, punch, water, etc.) and hors d'oeuvres. The Reception for this event will begin at 6:00 pm. There will be a featured red and white wine for the event and we will be sampling some new wine selections as well!
