In honor of Mother?s Day, GC Habitat is asking for your help in supporting Garrett County?s participation in the nationwide Habitat for Humanity initiative uniting thousands of women in building affordable housing in partnership with low-income families. During Habitat for Humanity?s National Women Build Week on May 3, we are encouraging women to volunteer for one day with Habitat. Locally, we are building on May 3, (8:00 AM start, 11:30 AM lunch, 4:00 PM wrap-up) in Hopeland Village off Frank Custer Drive, Oakland, MD 21550. Habitat would be honored if you would consider volunteering for all or part of the day and encouraging women to lend their power and their resources to providing decent, affordable and safe shelter in our community.
