Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. (GCCAC) – Agency on Aging and Nutrition will host the 4th annual “Hot August Night” show on Friday, August 24th at the Grantsville Senior Center in Grantsville, MD from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. This year’s featured performer will be Ricky Howsare “The musical phenomenon from Bedford, PA..." - Appalachian Independent
Ricky is a remarkable young artist who can bring a Vegas quality show right to the comfort of your own hometown! He has been touching the lives of many through his gift of music for years. His versatility and appreciation for all genres and eras of music has astounded audience’s through-out the east coast. He now calls Lancaster, PA home, where you can see him in the current running show "Vegas Legends!" at the American Music Theatre. Doors open at 6: pm with food and assorted refreshments. Rock’ Rodney and the D.B.B. will start the music at 6:45 doing some fifties and sixties style old time rock in roll music. Ricky will then take the stage for his Vegas quality show.Last year Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. – Agency on Aging and Nutrition’s Home Delivered Meals program served 33,340 nutritious meals five days a week to vulnerable elderly at an annual cost of over $288,391.00 The need is great and it couldn’t be done without fundraisers like this event. While the future Federal Funding of Meals on Wheels is in question, attendees can help to bridge the gap and continue the valuable and necessary service. Come and support this entertainment and fund raising event!
Cost for the show is only $10.00 per person, children under 12 are free. Tickets will be sold at the door the night of the show. Food, drinks and refreshments will available at the show.
