Lions Chillin & Grillin for Vision: BBQ Fest

This year the Oakland Mountain Lake Park Lions Club is holding a new event; the Lions Chillin & Grillin for Vision: BBQ Fest. This is a Family Friendly event to be held July 8th at the Garrett County Fairgrounds (by the Lions Pavilion). Gates will open at 12 noon and close at 8pm. Cost; $10.00 for 16 and older and $5.00 for under 16, infants (non-walking) are free! There will be live music all day and 50/50 drawing. Grillers from around the area will compete for trophies and bragging rights. Guest will be able to purchase meats from the grillers and then purchase all the fixins (bun, baked beans, cole slaw, plate, utensils and drinks) from the Lions. Guest can vote for their favorite Griller (People’s Choice Award) and have a chance to win in the 50/50 drawing (tickets $1.00 each). Devler’s Ice Cream will be present with many favorites for purchase throughout the day. We will have a Free Kids Zone with Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Tattoos, and popcorn; sponsored by Shaffer Ford, High Mountain Off Road and Garrett County Cartridge. We will have free hot dogs for children 12 and under; sponsored by The Green Turtle. HART for Animals will have adoptable pets present (sorry, no others pets allowed) Bands will perform throughout the day and are in part sponsored by Beitzel Excavating and Back Nine Bar and Grill. The Event Sponsor is Coors and Lohr Distributing and they will have some of your favorites on tap for purchase starting at noon (no outside cooler will be allowed) Event Sponsor T-shirts will available for purchase at the Lions Pavilion ticket booth. Judging for the Grillers will be at 2pm and the People’s Choice award at 6pm. Come out and support your favorite griller!
