Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Lake&Lure Country Store

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Garrett County Department of Business Development, will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Lake&Lure Country Store. 

About: Welcome to our little slice of paradise right here in Swanton, Maryland! We're beyond excited to open our doors this summer, and honestly, we can't wait to meet every single person who walks through them.

Our story starts with Deep Creek Lake – this place has been our family's heart and soul for as long as we can remember. Growing up, every weekend, every vacation, every spare moment was spent right here in Garrett County, soaking up everything these mountains and this beautiful lake have to offer. There's something magical about watching the sunrise over Deep Creek Lake or casting a line from the shore that just gets into your bones, you know?

When we launched Lake&Lure clothing in 2023, we had this crazy dream brewing in the back of our minds. What if we could create a place where lake lovers like us could find everything they need for the perfect day on Deep Creek Lake? Not just our Lake&Lure apparel (which we're pretty proud of), but all those daily essentials that make or break a lake day – cold beer and wine for sunset watching, fishing gear and tackle for early morning adventures, firewood for those perfect lakeside evenings, and all the little things you forgot to pack.
