We follow the snow and have some north facing slopes that hold snow well once we have a snowpack of a foot or more. Swallow Falls is one of our favorite spots and affords some great forest bushwhacking as well as the scenic waterfalls and old growth forest. In some weather we get an icy or firm base to snowshoe on and the metal traction cleats really work well and make snowshoeing practical. Snowy snowy we love exploring the Youghiogheny River Wild and Scenic Corridor with a hot coco in town or on the trail. Give us a call for the update or visit our website.
