Gary Copeland (banjo, guitar, cigar box guitar, and vocals) has completed audio engineering and recording arts training at The Recording Workshop, and has also completed a WV Folk Art apprenticeship on banjo. He selectively conducts private instruction on guitar and banjo, and has assisted/administered frailing/clawhammer banjo workshops at various Appalachian cultural festivals. He subscribes to a "by the people, for the people" musical ideal. "Better living through music".
The Plate Scrapers
are a four piece string band performing traditional bluegrass and old-time tunes, topped off with a helping of their own original material. The bands wide taste in music, ability to jam, and impeccable instrumentation, will keep you coming back for seconds!
