Summer Reading Club 2018 – “Libraries Rock!” – begins this year with a kick-off event hosted by the Ruth Enlow Library and presented by Comedy Ventriloquist Tom Crowl, one of the top professional ventriloquists in the United States. Two performances of his show – Puppets Rock: The 2018 Library Tour – are scheduled for Wednesday, June 27: one at the Oakland Library from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. and the other at the Grantsville Library from 4 – 5 p.m. The event is free and open to all registered Summer Reading Club participants.
“Tom’s puppets are excited to show off their musical talents,” reads the description of the show. “Talent may be the wrong word however. They have no official training, but they have been actively reading library books and participating in the summer reading program. Chaos ensues as they plan the debut of their world tour. This program is designed to entertain all ages – including the adults!
