Swallow Falls Apple Butter Boil

The staff of Herrington Manor & Swallow Falls invites you to come and join us for our Annual Apple Butter Boil! This event will take place at the pavilion at Swallow Falls State Park. Old fashioned apple butter is made outside over an open fire, stirred by a long-handled paddle in a big copper kettle! Learn some of the tricks of the trade and try your hand at stirring the butter. Apple butter made during the day will be on sale once it is ready, usually around 3pm
