American Legion Post 71 will hold a Veterans Day parade in downtown Oakland beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. The entire community is invited to join the American Legion and the Town of Oakland, MD for its annual Veterans Day observance, honoring and recognizing all U.S. Military personnel for their patriotism and willingness to serve their country.
The parade will begin at Liberty Street and travel Second Street to Alder Street and up Third Street to the Oakland Veterans Park at the intersection of Third and Oak Street, where a patriotic ceremony led by Rob Heilig will be held at 11 a.m.
